The Leo Legacy Center

A new space. A lasting legacy. A brighter future.

The Leo Legacy Center is the newly renovated basketball gymnasium at Harris Home for Children in Huntsville, Alabama — a place where the boys who live here move, compete, breathe, and grow. Trauma lives in the body long after the mind has started to heal. The Center gives them somewhere to put it.

Beyond basketball, the space serves as a therapeutic movement facility, a community gathering room, and a venue for the kinds of events that bring supporters, mentors, and families into the day-to-day life of Harris Home. Made possible through a transformative gift from the Leo Family, the Center is built to serve residents today and every boy who walks through Harris Home's doors in the decades to come.

The Leo Legacy Center exists because one family decided that the boys of Harris Home deserved a space equal to their potential. What began as a conversation about legacy became a transformative investment in the physical foundation of Harris Home — a gift measured not in the dollars it took to build, but in the years and lives it will touch.

Ongoing Support

The gym is built. Keep it moving.

The Leo Family funded the construction of the Center. Harris Home's Gym Fund supports what happens inside the walls — equipment, jerseys, therapeutic movement programming, and the day-to-day life of the space for the boys who use it.
